SS-9 Was obviously having a bad day. Mr. Pham is the most honest mechanic I have known. I have been going there for at least 15 years and have lots of friends that go there too.

Last year, I choose pham to fix the check engine light and got $550 quote for replacing the knock sensor. I left the car with them to do VA inspection and emission too. I get a call in the afternoon saying something else is bad and the car would not go thru inspection and gave me an additional quote of $600. I finally paid $1200 but the check engine light came back in a day again. After another 3 to 4 times going back to them, I was charged another $350 to replace the second knock sensor also and the light was put to rest. I recently moved to Wisconsin after about 8 months of this incident and failed the emission here. I am told that eventhough the light is not on, there are error codes in memory. I finally spent lot of time in research on internet and found the problem to be with canister vent solenoid, the knock sensor are just ghost codes. I now fixed it myself and was shocked to find out that there was a defective bulb placed behind the dash so that check engine light wont show up.
