National Telecommunications Cooperative Association is a nonprofit association that represents more than 500 small and rural telephone cooperatives and commercial companies. It is a full-service association that offers a wide array of member services, including a government affairs program, legal and industry representation, educational services and public relations programs. The firm offers programs designed for managers that include interviewing, conflict resolution, performance evaluations, legal issues and time management skills. It also provides disaster clearinghouse services that include shelter, sleeping mats, blankets, sanitary napkins, a kerosene stove, kerosene, rice, oil for cooking, infant formula and drinking water. The firm has a Foundation for Rural Service, a nonprofit foundation that informs and educates public on the rural telecommunications industry.
