Founded in 1973, Long Branch Elementary School is located in Arlington, Va. The school serves more than 400 students in prekindergarten through grade five. It offers the English as a Second Language program. It conducts classes in language arts, math, science and social studies. Long Branch Elementary School s range of extracurricular activities includes art, music, dance, drama, and technical and physical education. The school also features an orchestra and choir, as well as a student council. It operates a parent-teacher association that conducts a variety of fundraising activities, such as food drives, family nights, book fairs and reading workshops. In addition, it organizes field trips to various educational and cultural destinations, including historical places and museums. The school provides food, transportation, guidance counseling and medical care.
