Mike Hohenstein joined First Command Financial Services as a Financial Advisor in May 2010. He is excited about the opportunity to help people make the smart financial decisions that are essential to long-term financial security. A graduate of Virginia Tech with a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Planning. Mike holds Series 6, 63 and 65 securities licenses plus life and health insurance licenses in multiple states. Understanding that the biggest obstacle to financial security for most people is their own behavior, Mike serves as a personal financial coach to clients, continually reinforcing positive financial behaviors. He advocates time-tested financial principles, including disciplined, long-term saving and investing, careful debt management, and a thoughtful insurance strategy to manage financial risk. Mike will work with you to establish specific, meaningful goals that are consistent with your values and then develop a personalized financial plan to guide your pursuit of those goals. Active in his community, Mike is a volunteer for Christ House Food Pantry and a member of Queen of Apostles Catholic Church. He is married with three children. In his free time, Mike enjoys baseball, golf, and spending time with family.
