The Arlington County Fire Department, also known as ACFD, is responsible for mitigating threats for life, property and environment through education, prevention. The department provides a range of fire, medical and public safety services. It serves an area of more than 25 square miles through over five fire stations. The Arlington County Fire Department employs nearly 310 staff members and responds to several emergency situations. The department supports the USMC Toys for Tots program. It has a technical rescue team and maintains a fleet of trucks. The Arlington County Fire Department offers smoke alarms and fire prevention and safety tips. It is a part of the government of Arlington County in Virginia.
