Absolutely horrendous service on all fronts. Do these sales people even know how to sell cars?

My boyfriend wanted to get a truck and has pretty much no credit (no cards, etc.), so we decided to check this pace out.

This is NOT the place to buy ANY vehicle.

Joe the "owner" told us that he had been running a cash car lot THAT HE GOT IN TROUBLE FOR, and if that isn't a huge red flag, I don't know what is.

Additionally, CarFax is a tool to use to determine whether you will purchase a vehicle. It is not a bonus you get when you buy one, as Joe suggested. Any reputable dealer will hand you the CarFax immediately.
So I went outside, wrote down the VIN, and did some checks myself.

Also, how are you supposed to sell a vehicle without knowing how much you're selling it for? I asked Joe several times for the total cost (sticker price, if you will) for the truck my boyfriend was interested in. He kept telling us a note price (and kept saying he'd never seen a truck note below $500/month. I do not believe that for a second.), which was ridiculously high. After an hour, Joe finally tells us the 2008 Ford F-150 is selling for $19,000. What??? KBB puts the truck at $9,250. I told him no deal, who's going to spend double the worth of a vehicle? He kept telling us that it's the financing he's selling. Well, he did a terrible job with that. He refused to tell us the interest rate even!

Bottom line, everyone in this "dealership" should be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of people with bad credit. Contrary to what Joe would have you believe, you certainly can go somewhere else and get a better deal.

My boyfriend has since found an '06 F-150 for $6000. :)

The people in MEI Finance is horrible, they talk to the customer as if you a nobody. The managers even talks to you crazy. They communication skill is offer. The car that I purchase from them had been wreck and the front end is very loud. I return the car because i felt like i was cheated out of my money and it wasn't worth the money they tried to make me pay. I wouldn't never send nobody there to get a car from them.I'm a sigle mother and I don't have time to put money into a car that i haven't had long. So be careful because these cars isn't what they should be. they look good on the on the outside but what about what going on under the hood and the tires.
