"Look before you Leap"

My family and I would like to advise caution in deciding to place you loved ones in this facility. Our experience with Arbrook was horrendous! My beloved mother entered this on the surface it was, at the time, 5 star business. Hoping to return home after,a recommended 21 days of rehabilitation, for a stroke. We made visits( Scheduled) and were assured by the staff that not only were they specialists in stroke rehab, that her roommate was also receiving treatment for the same. None of this proved to be the case. Everyday, I went to check on my mother, I noticed that she was getting much worse, not better. The staff would check on her only around the Times they figured I was going to be there including her rehab sessions which only lasted 15 minutes. This was by design obviously,to convince trusting families into allowing their family to deteriorate and for Arbrook, into becoming a resident a

instead of a rehab patient. In our experience, the care was worse than poor, my mom was purposely malnourished, got two severe urinary tract infections( This, after meeting with the administrator!) and we found her unconscious! We found her roommate on the floor more than once. When we rushed my mom to the Emergency room at the hospital from Arbrook, terrible injuries to her right hand were found. They occurred when the head therapist, dropped her! We were able to bring my mom home after she improved with treatment. Arbrook, for my family turned out to be worse than the stroke. The staff when we were there, grossly ignored the patient's needs when family had to be away. The only Dr. allowed in is their own and spends 15 seconds with patients, if that. I just really believe that this place needs to be put in a nursing home! I would not recommend Arbrook to anyone under any circumstances. Please beware...hope this helps.
