South Middle School serves more than 800 students in grades six through eight. The school offers a variety of academic programs in English and language arts, mathematics, science, social science and economics. Additionally, it conducts classes in technology and family and consumer science. The school operates a library that provides resources, such as books, journals and magazines. Its athletics department offers various sports activities, including tennis, football, soccer, basketball, golf and baseball. South Middle School also offers programs in health and physical education. In addition, it provides a range of multicultural activities, including a junior beta club and art club, as well as counseling and career programs. South Middle School is a part of Arlington Heights School District 25. The school is located in Arlington Heights, Ill.
