Cowley County Community College and Area Vocational-Technical School offers various transfer programs and two-year degree programs. It fosters development of the community through various public service programs and partnerships with business and industry. The college offers various programs through its departments that include allied health, humanities, social science, business, computers and information technology, career and technical education, and natural science and mathematics. The humanities department offers courses in art, communications, English, graphic design, history, journalism, liberal arts, music, religion and theatre. The college has athletic teams for baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, tennis, softball, volleyball and athletics. Located in Arkansas City, Kan., Cowley County Community College and Area Vocational-Technical School is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and by the Kansas State Board of Regents.
