Pierce High School is spread over an area of more than 30 acres and includes a library, swimming pool, gymnasiums, and computer and science laboratories. Its academic curriculum includes English, math, science, history, foreign language, language arts, social science and physical education. The school operates a student council and provides vocational and extracurricular programs. Pierce High School has a staff of a librarian, psychologist, social worker, nurse, resource specialist, counselor, secretary, paraprofessionals, and speech and language specialists. It maintains chess, community and Spanish clubs and provides membership opportunities in Future Business Leaders of America organization. Located in Arbuckle, Calif., Pierce High School is operated by the Pierce Joint Unified School District, which operates elementary, junior high and high schools.
