Lufkin Road Middle School provides educational services to more than 1,025 students in grades six through eight. The school offers the English as a Second Language program. It has a parent-teacher association that conducts fundraising activities, including musical shows and book fairs. It operates a band, choir and student council. Lufkin Road Middle School also supports a variety of sports activities, such as volleyball, football, soccer and cheerleading. The school conducts classes in science, math, language arts and social studies. It offers a range of extracurricular activities that includes music, visual arts, and technical and physical education. In addition, it provides special education classes to gifted and talented students. Its staff includes a psychologist, social worker, and speech and language pathologist.
