We had gone to lakes animal clinic for a second opinion (Banfield wanted 1000 dollars worth of tests to diagnose our kitten) Dr.Plishka did ONE test in office and diagnosed our kitten with FIP. He explained what it was and explained there was no cure and was very kind and naturally we were very upset and he was not rushing us out at all. We came back weeks later to put our kitten down and the staff was very kind and caring and let us stay there as long as we needed after they had euthanized our kitten. We had cremated them and they gave him back to us in a beautiful They are VERY kind people and have AMAZING vets very very reasonable pricing. the wait is so very worth it.

As a representative of lakes animal clinic.. The hours stated on this web site are wrong.. We are not open 24 hours a day or seven days a week.. Our hours are as follows.. Monday thru Friday we are open 8am to 11:30am and 1pm till 4 pm... Monday's and Thursday's we have late hours from 5:30pm till 8pm.. Our late hours are the busiest times of the week and there is only one doctor.. Expect 3 to 4 hour waits.. Saturday's we are open 8am till 11:30 pm.. We are open in the afternoon from 1pm till 2:30 pm but we like to reserve these hours for meds pick ups and euthanasias...please feel free to contact us with further questions.. My one and only time there I never even got to see the vet. Waited two hours and they were still six dogs ahead of me . All we came in for was one vaccine. It's now after 8 o'clock at night and we are going home without it should've known when I saw the area in the parking lot was saturated in dog feces.

We've been taking our dogs and cats here for over 30 years, always confident in the care they received. On a small farm, we typically have 2 dogs and a couple cats as well, so that's a lot of vet visits. We had 3 horses for several years here on the property and the large animal care was excellent in our opinion also. Very reasonably priced, but excellent service.

I highly recommend Lakes Animal Clinic in Antioch. We have taken our dogs and cats there for really loving care. The vets explain everything clearly. They're prices are some of the best, as is the care, in Lake County IL An acquaintance has his cattle and horses treated by them and also thinks Lakes Animal Clinic vets "are top of the line."
