The NHC HealthCare Corporation is one of the oldest long-term health care companies in the United States. It provides services to more than 70 long-term health care centers with over 9,100 beds. Its affiliates operate nearly 30 home care programs and independent and assisted living centers at approximately 22 locations in the United States. The NHC HealthCare Corporation also operates managed care specialty medical units, hospice care centers, Alzheimer's disease units and a rehabilitation services organization. Its services include speech, occupational and physical therapies; rehabilitation, hospice, subacute and skilled nursing care; dietary consultation; and laundry and housekeeping. The organization also offers wound and respiratory care, intravenous therapy and tube feeding services. The NHC HealthCare Corporation operates a skilled nursing facility in Anniston, Ala.
