- The Junior Leauge added a children's area in Fall of 2010. The library has received grants from the Alabama Civil Justice Foundation, The Daniel Foundation of Birmingham, Dollar General and Representative Barbara Boyd. Ross Handy Mart, Inc. sponsors our Saturday movie series.
General Info
Hobson City Public Library serves historic Hobson City, the first incorporated black city in Alabama. The library was established in 2010 and features a summer reading program, a monthly coffeehouse and a community-wide read for the year 2012. Movies for children are offered every 2nd and 4th Saturday @ 2 p.m.
