We are pleased to have represented Summerville Inns of Grandeur, LLC in the acquisition of the Woodlands Inn in Charleston, South Carolina. The historic Woodlands Inn is one of only six hotels in America to earn the Five Star and Five Diamond awards for both lodging and dining. Moeckel & Co is pleased to announce its exclusive representation of Prince Bush Smith Hotels, LLC in the sale of their leasehold interest in the Holiday Inn Historic District at 125 Calhoun Street and fee interest in the adjacent office building at 310 Meeting Street in downtown Charleston, South Carolina. The transaction entailed obtaining entitlements for a 50-room expansion from the City's Board of Zoning Appeals and Board of Architectural Review. The buyer is an affiliate of the Noble Investment Group in Atlanta, Georgia. Bill Moeckel has been appointed chairman of the Advisory Board of Christiana Capital Group LLC, a Wilmington, Delaware based company in which he is an investor. The company specializies in Conservation and Limited Development Projects with Private Land Owners, Land Trusts and Government Conservation Agencies.
