      Dr. Puramo W. Chong with Yedam Acupuncture has been practicing in Korea for over 28 years and has been recognized as one of the most noted doctors in his native country. For his success in treating difficult diseases, he was named among the "50 Most Distinguished Oriental Medicine Doctors in Korea" and also cited in the book "Secret Remedy of 108 Famous Doctors." He has had an outstanding career and extensive experience as an oriental medical doctor. Dr. Chong graduated with his B.S, MA and Ph.D. degree in Oriental Medicine from Kyunghee University, South Korea. He also has written several books on herbs and oriental medical treatments. His prescriptions and treatments are natural, side effect free and based on the Korean Sasang Constitutional Medicine, originated with Lee Che-Ma in 1894.The treatment methods he uses, though little known in the U.S, are based on the classification of human beings into four types of constitutions or genetic makeup. Both the treatments and herbal medicines are prescribed according to a patient's particular genetic type. Treatment that works for one patient may be ineffective or harmful to another simply because of their hereditary differences. The ability to individualize the diagnosis is the key to successful treatment.
