Since 1986, the National Center for Manufacturing Sciences has been one of the leaders in the development of collaborative partnerships to promote the advancement of North American manufacturing. By forming and managing project teams with representatives from private industry, government and academia to address common issues, NCMS leverages the resources of each to arrive at solutions to improve competitive standing of the manufacturing base. NCMS builds cross-industry partnerships to leverage assets, minimize risk and expand resources, allowing timely introduction of new technology in the manufacturing sector. Headquartered in Ann Arbor, Mich., the National Center for Manufacturing Sciences is a privately owned company that employs nearly 50 people.
