We went there for my birthday and found it very disappointing. The Mad Anthony in Ft. Wayne and Auburn has absolutely fabulous food but the one in Lake James is absolutely horrible. My husband ordered the calamari appetizer which he had to call the waitress over because he said it tasted like mozzarella sticks. They did take it off of our bill. My cod was so soaked in oil and breading that I couldn't identify the cod and the cole slaw had horseradish sauce in it so I gave it to my husband. But on a high note, the Mad Anthony beer was good. We won't be going back there- we will go to Auburn where they have a great cook.

Apparently it takes a long time to serve cold food. We came in hungry and ordered BBQ chicken nachos. It was a bad omen when the chicken was cold. We decided to order seafood. My wife ordered white fish tacos and I ordered crab cakes. After close to an hour, I told the waitress to either bring food or the bill. So, my crab cakes came out, but not the fish tacos. The cakes were supposed to come with fries and slaw. The fries were ok, but we can't review the slaw because it was never served. When the fish tacos arrived we realized they felt we were on a diet as the fish portion was tiny. It was served with black beans. They were ice cold. So the tacos were neither fishy nor really tacos, but a disguised cold salad. Finally don't ask to talk to a manager, as the only one on duty will be in the back slinging cold food and will not be available to discuss the food or the service. You might go there looking for a beer, avoid the food.
