We have had nothing but horrible issues. See photos on Facebook and look up Upset Homeowner. We were ignored and then 4 MONTHS after buying our Stancil Built home we received a no contact letter from their lawyer. Plus, they listed my home as having fiber cement siding and it is not. It is LP Smart Siding which is OSB not fiber cement. AND they installed it incorrectly. All plumbing has to be replaced, sub-floors, flooring, showers, tubs and SOOOOO MUCH MORE! Still, they have not made good on any of their written promises or warranties to us.

Working with Stancil Builders has been an exceptionally good experience for us. Freddie Stancil is definitely a man of his word. It all comes down to trust. From Michael and Michele T

Freddie Stancil and I built our retirement home in 2006 and he was very interested and professional in the quality to which he helped us to make discussions that is an enhancement to our home. This is the 3rd home that we have built and it was an excellent experience with Freddie and the Stancil Builders team to complete this project. If a choice of builders had to be selected, Stancil Builders would be the first choice of all builders.
Overall, good experience. Not all items on closing punch list we had were agreed to fix, but high priority issues were; we were pleased with that. Response of subs to issues we've had (flooring, electrical) has been VERY good...especially electrician! Only major issue we've found with house since closing and 1 year warranty expiration is a settling in the master bedroom causing severe "bounce" in the floor when you walk on it leading to vases, pictures, TV in cabinet in bedroom to shake/rattle with the slightest of steps...also, can feel areas where top of subfloor had large gouges not filled in; can feel holes under carpet/padding when walking barefoot in bedroom. Otherwise, good quality so far! - From R Britt on 10/13/09
