It is responsible for assigning buses and drivers to various routes. The transit system offers a curb-to-curb paratransit service. It has lift-equipped vehicles for the elderly and physically challenged people. It is located in Anderson, Ind., and is governed by city of Anderson that operates a range of other departments, such as fire, economic development, street, police, engineering, water, sewer, purchasing, human resources and parks and recreation. The City of Anderson Transportation System was established in 1982.
