Founded in 1896, Volunteers of America is a social service and welfare organization. Located in Andalusia, Ala., the organization offers a range of programs to support at-risk youth, the elderly, home-returned prisoners, homeless individuals/families, people with disabilities and people recovering from addictions. The foundation operates through a ministry of approximately 70,000 volunteers dedicated to help people in need. It has partnership with Comcast, Hasbro, Juice Plus and Scholastic. Volunteers of America is a Better Business Bureau (BBB) accredited organization.
