Sourdough Express, a freight forwarding and trucking company, is a fourth generation family organization. Established in 1898, its one of the oldest and most distinguished transportation companies in Alaska.The name Sourdough Express is symbolic of reliable service and dependability. Our employees are courteous, well trained and dedicated, you can't help but sense the pride our workers have from being part of this great Alaskan company.With terminals in Anchorage and Fairbanks, we use air, land and water to ship freight by multi-modal transportation systems. We are committed to building long-term relationships with our customers, our employees and our service providers.Equipment:Our diverse fleet of equipment consists of vans, bulkers, flatbeds, lowboys, and reefer vans. Sourdough equipment is modern and well-maintained to ensure safe operations. The fleet allows us to haul a large variety of commodities to meet Alaska's transportation demands. Our Specialized hauling division includes single-and double-drop flats along with our multiple lowboys equip with jeeps and boosters. These trailers are specifically designed to meet the specialized transportation requirements of heavy and over-dimension loads.Our drivers and crews are experienced, seasoned experts at getting your oversized freight delivered. Each truck is equipped with modern communication systems to allow us to track freight efficiently. We have had the privilege of servicing many sectors of the Alaska economy, hauling various construction, mining and oilfield related commodities including equipment, steel products, building supplies, fish, groceries, dry bulk goods, and LTL.Big enough to do the job, small enough to care! Sourdough has never had the intent of being the largest trucking company in the state.
