General Info
Dr. Barbosa attended a post baccalaureate at Columbia University followed by a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine at Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She then completed a Breast Surgery Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic, followed by several Oncoplastic Courses since 2008. She just completed study while here in Alaska on genetics which is currently being written up and has brought several new technologies that will benefit patients, not only for breast cancer. She is an active member of TME, Targeted Medical Education, an invitation only symposium of some of the top breast surgeons across the nation, to discuss new treatment options and new technologies. Her latest accomplishment is that she is recently Hidden Scar Certified and will take part in training surgeons nationwide on how to optimize cosmetic outcomes in cancer patients.

Dr. Barbosa was very nice and personal during the appointment, I really felt like she understood my needs and educated me on care techniques that fit my lifestyle. I was sent to Dr. Barbosa because of my reoccurring Mastitis and I feel hopeful that with the tips she gave me it will not come back!!
