Located in Anaheim, Calif., Abraham Lincoln Elementary offers a curriculum for students in grades kindergarten through six. It is governed by the Anaheim City School District and serves more than 800 students. The variety of subjects offered include English as second language, reading and writing skills, mathematics and reasoning, science, history, geography, and health and physical education. The school campus houses a library and media center, computer laboratory, music and fine arts rooms and a playground. It also offers various special services, including psychological treatment, nursing, and speech, language and hearing therapies. In addition, the school provides family literacy classes and kindergarten parent orientation classes. Abraham Lincoln Elementary has a parent-teacher association that volunteers and organizes the school s annual May carnival.
