The City of Anaheim Planning Department provides services and information related to building permits, community preservation, development projects, economic development and planning activities for the city of Anaheim, Calif. Its building division provides plan checks, issues permits and conducts inspections. The department s community preservation division enforces the Anaheim municipal code and other related state codes; conducts business license inspections; enforces city parking regulations; and investigates and conducts housing, nuisance and zoning code inspections in residential, industrial and commercial areas. It also has a planning services division that provides information on zoning and land use regulations and development standards; and issues special events, home occupation and large-family day care permits. The department s business license division issues business licenses, collects transient occupancy taxes from hotels and issues permits for amusement devices, astrologers and bingo games.
