I have been to many repair shops in my day but this one stood out to me. They have a very clean garage area as well as a very nice waiting area. They have a really nice crew there. My knowledge on cars is limited but whenever I go there they explain what is wrong and make sure I understand it, they also show me what is wrong with my car. They also let me know what I will be needing in the near future. Its nice to find a garage where you can actually trust them. My wife takes her car there and she never feels that she has to call me to make sure she is not being taken advantage of. They do excellent work there and I recommend them to anyone that wants an honest repair shop. They are reasonably priced too and in this difficult economy its great to get quality work done at a reasonable price.
My husband convinced me to write this review. My children and myself were visiting friends in Amsterdam, NY shortly after the flood. As I was heading back home, I heard & felt the thumping of a flat tire. As I pulled into Anything Automotive I saw how much the flooding had affected them. They were hauling out debris from what used to be their waiting room. Just as I was getting ready to call for a tow truck to take me to another garage, I saw a man heading my way with a tire jack. He had seen that I had a flat tire and came out to help, he took off my tire, pulled out the screw that had made my tire flat and plugged up the hole. As I was reaching into my wallet he just waved me off and said to come & see him when I had a real problem. My goodness, here is a man that was going thru some devastating times and he stopped to help me out. I will be needing some brake work done soon and I am going to visit my friend in Amsterdam & stop at this garage to get the work done.
I had broken down in Amsterdam, and had it towed to the closest garage. They repaired the problem and were really reasonably priced. Although it took forty five minutes longer than they told me, the service was excellent, and their coffee was great, so I didn't mind the extra time there. I would recommend them to anyone, their knowledge of foreign cars was a pleasant surprise.
Anything Automotive is one of the last few honest repair shops left in the business. My wife was coming off the thruway when she heard this horrible noise coming from the motor, she immediately called me up from her cell-phone and asked what should she do. I told her to stop at a garage and have someone look it over. Since she knows less about cars than I do, I figured to myself that this stop was going to cost me a pretty penny. They looked the car over and applied tension to one of the belts and sent her on her way. When I asked her how much did they charge, she said nothing. They told her to come back and see them when she really had a problem. They could have really taken advantage of my wife, but they did'nt. That was 8 months ago and we bring all our cars there ever since. It's nice to be able to go to someone you can trust.
I was having problems with my car and had taken it to a few local repair shops and they couldn't find the problem. A friend suggested I take it to Anything Automotive and I did. They have to have the cleanest repair facility in the area, their waiting room was equally as nice. They looked my car over and quickly found the problem....it was a pretty fair price for the repairs too. They were all so very nice there that I have decided I will never go anywhere else.
