Amherst Library is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Staff, always pleasant and accomodating, know everyone by their first name, run the library like a well oiled machine but make it look like it's effortless. Frequently updated materials-- if they don't have it and it's available, they will secure materials through the other libraries. There are wonderfully talented artists' exhibits, the student art show each spring highlights the unlimited creative options exercised by local school children. There are varied and interesting discussion groups, book groups, diverse presentations just to mention a few things. There are also multiple programs for children and teens although I'm not so much up on what is offered since I'm not looking for that. The library hours are very generous - open many evenings tuntil 8:30 PM. Efforts to meet the evolving trends in technology are frequently updated. Friends of the library sponsor many programs to support the library. Go there, you'll love it. Elaine
