The other day I was looking at my credit report since my credit card company lets me check it for free, My credit dropped a ton! I pay my bills all on time and am careful where I spend money. upon further investigation I found that this company decided to hit me now with a $1600 medical bill from 2010 that I didn't know existed! They were all paid anyway but six years later decide you want to destroy a newlyweds, college kids credit!? This company is fraudulent.
12-7-16 Update: I paid everything off in hopes of building my credit to buy a home. I went to get financed for a house and they say mountain land collections has some bills I need to pay!!$@ I paid it all not even two months ago and they are saying I have bills form 2010 to pay...

They are horrible. You ask for a payment plan and they make you pay off the balance when it is convenient for them. They served me with papers for 85 in medical debt. By the time they tacked on attorney fees I owed close to 500. I've been very sick, hence the medical debt, and they made it even harder for me to get by. Their attorney is Quin Kofford so look out for him too.

Out of the blue they sent me a collections notice for a bill that was never sent to me in the first place for a company that is out of business. They sent no date of service or any details about the alleged transaction.

They call you saying you owe a bill but have very few details about the bill, which makes it sound like a fraud call. They are mean and not helpful at all. I tried to help him get me more info about the bill and "JT or mountain land was no help at all taking me tons and tons of phone calls even my insurance didn't know who they were!!!!

We placed accounts with them to collect on and got no results. I don't even think they made phone calls. They have horrible communication. They say one thing and do another. Mica their sales representative is a snake and should not be trusted. I've dealt with numerous collection agencies and by far, they have been the worst one.
