Allison Marine Contractors has two facilities in Amelia, La., located directly on the Gulf Inter-Coastal Waterway. The company boasts 1,800 linear-feet of quayside. Allison Marine provides marine fabrication, outfitting and repair services. Its main facility in Amelia operates 7 days a week and provides fabrication and marine repair services. The facility has two slips with underground electric, oxygen, burning gas and compressed air delivered to the quayside. The AMC main yard is equipped with material handling tools such as a 225-ton track crane, two 18-ton cherry pickers and four rough terrain high capacity forklifts. The facility houses a 60-feet-by-200-feet fabrication shop, mechanic shop and a blasting and painting area. The facility is designed to allow AMC to operate at very high capacity while maintaining operating efficiencies. Allison Marine Contractors is engaged in the purchase and sale of used offshore platforms and related equipment.
