A perfect place for a quiet meal or to meet with friends. The atmosphere is relaxing. The food is out of this world - my husband loves the chops: thick and delicious, or the merlot steak which melts in your mouth. I go for the quiche, fish or chicken pita. Or try their soups! All made by scratch with fresh ingredients. When we want a treat we get the bread pudding. Bring your own wine to add to your meal on Friday or Saturday nights. I strongly recommend the Cottage Cafe. You won't be disappointed!

We were 8 little planes that flew into a grass airstrip in Amboy and walked to town, we ate at The Amboy Cottage Cafe, what a GEM ! The food was wonderful, fresh, homemade, generous portions, Authentic.. I haven't had such delicious food in ages. The Cafe, is cozy.. with just enough space ! We would highly recommend it to anyone, and plan to come back soon !

cooks use only fresh ingredients, don't own a deep fryer, and food is served hot and displayed beautifully. Place is small and sometimes crowded but reservations can be made. This cafe is noted for the bread pudding, pies, and homemade bread. We have eaten there several times and have never been disappointed in the food or serve.
