I have always enjoyed shopping at Home Depot and was extremly excited that I was getting a new entry door and back door. I set an appointment online to meet with a store associate 07/05/17. During my visit I seen how busy they are and phones ringing like crazy. There was 3 employees; the one I was with,another one with a customer,and one hanging out with that empolyee off and on). The employee I was talking with would stop our conversation to answer phone several times and a girl was hanging out she would talk to some. (not employee) I had several questions and I knew which door I wanted for entry (knotty Alder Autum Wheat) and I wanted back door to be same color. They said the back door could not be in that color or finish so they called the door company and her mgr. To my understanding the back door was not knotty alder but could be Autum Wheat color.Color matched I was ok. I did not place order yet wanted to make sure measurements correct. 07/12/17 I placed order for just entry door. A week later I called for that employee to return my call Never received. Several times I called with same reaction=Nothing. Finally my door came in. It was not Knotty Alder. I complained and ask the CS person to have the sales person call me the next day. The sales person did not call the CS called me. Response was "That is what I ordered, it is in the sales persons notes that the door is not available in Knotty. I tried to explain that I understood the entry door was but the back door was not. The CS was rude and kept repeating "It is in notes that is what I ordered." I know what door I wanted and color. I made it very clear from begining. I'm glad I only purchased one door for them to mess up on. And looking at my paper work I see nothing in the notes.Oh when I was leaving I found out the girl hanging out was a friend waiting for them to take a break.. POINT if not rushing to take brk when they knew days ahead of time of appointment,answering phones, etc.maybe things would of been right. It was not the sales persons $2000. so why should they care if order is right.
