Horrible service from SAIA recently. Ordered a boat dock/lift from a company in Minnesota that was picked up for shipment on 7/13/2018. It arrived in Amarillo on 7/18. Not bad, but then the trouble started. I did not receive notice and, after 12 days I called the local SAIA office to ask when it would arrive. The rep said it was here and would be delivered the next day, Thursday, 7/26. I waited for their call to say the truck was on its way, never happened. Called them late that day and the rep was not helpful and said it would be delivered the next day, Friday, 7/27. Again, didn't happen. Spent two afternoons waiting for delivery, wasted time! Finally got on their website and looked at the shipment history only to discover that it was shipped to Odessa, Tx on 7/27!!! I finally reached someone in management, Clay, who was embarrassed and promised delivery Monday, 7/30. Finally got it that afternoon, 12 days after it arrived in Amarillo. Don't believe their terrific numbers of client satisfaction on their website. My experience was the pits. Also had people scheduled to help me assemble the units the weekend it was promised TWICE and did not arrive, again, wasted time and effort. The delivery driver, Kelly, was nice and helpful but showed up with my 1200 lb order with no help and no equipment to unload, so he and I (age 75) had to unload the shipment piece by piece.
