The Division of Water, Wastewater and Reuse, a part of the Public Works department, is responsible for the operation, maintenance, electronic monitoring, control, security and sample analysis water reclamation facilities and drinking water. The division water treatment plant features pumps and electrical power and control systems. The Public Works department also operates resource management and engineering and technical services divisions. The department is also responsible for the repair and maintenance of streets. Its stormwater division works to protect and improve water quality. The Public Works department is governed by the City of Altamonte Springs in Florida and operates finance and police departments.
