Joan MacQueen Middle School enrolls more than 800 students and offers classes from grades six through eight. The school s curriculum includes various subjects, such as language arts, math, science and technology, social studies, health education, English, computer science, arts and crafts, music and physical education. It also offers electives in various courses, such as Spanish, computer graphics, band, design dynamics, cooking, Web designing, science exploration, outdoor recreation and study skills. The school also has athletic teams for cross country, basketball, football, volleyball, soccer and track and field events. Located in Alpine, Calif., Joan MacQueen Middle School is a part of the Alpine Union School District.
