  Dr. Waleed Rhebi studied periodontics and implant dentistry at NYU. During his residency, Dr. Rhebi received the award for clinical excellence as well as a certificate of achievement for the Paul Tannenbaum and Dr. Robert Schoor Memorial Competition. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. Dr. Rhebi has received extensive training and experience in the placement of implants and the treatment of periodontics. Dr. Rhebi sees patients Monday-Thursday, which allows him to treat emergency cases on the same day and traditional cases within a few weeks. In his spare time, Dr. Rhebi enjoys soccer and traveling, as well as spending time with his wife and children.

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

• Oral Surgery
  Frenulums are folds of tissue that connect the gums to the upper and lower lip. A person may experience a lip tie if the frenulum attachment is too short or thick. A FRENECTOMY is a simple soft tissue oral surgery procedure that will increase the range of motion to the lips, maintain a gap closure between two teeth after orthodontics, or relieve a “pull” on the gums near a tooth with recession.
• Tooth Extractions
  Simple extractions are performed on teeth that can be seen in the mouth and do not require sectioning of the tooth or incising the gums for access. These extractions are performed under local anesthesia. The doctor will loosen the tooth and ligament with an elevator instrument and use forceps to extract the tooth.
• Bone Grafting
  Bone grafting is the process of adding bone tissue harvested from your own body or other safe donor source to rebuild the bony foundation of your jaw. Our board certified periodontists, Drs. Kelly Misch, Amar Katranji and Julius Bunek have advanced skill in bone grafting procedures.
