- Laser Eye SurgeryAn OPTOMETRIST is not a medical doctor. An optometrist went to optometry school, not medical school, and then can go into practice. An optometrist cannot treat medical eye diseases or perform surgery. He or she examines the eyes for vision problems, prescribes glasses, and fits contacts lenses. He or she can screen you for medical problems, and then refer you to an ophthalmologist. When working with an Ophthalmologist, an Optometrist may also participate in your pre- and post- op care following eye surgery.

- Eye ExamAn OPHTHALMOLOGIST is a medical and surgical doctor who specializes in the eyes. He or she went to medical school, and then did at least four more years of internship and Residency before being able to go into practice. An Ophthalmologist can treat all diseases of the eye, perform surgery, prescribe medication, and is trained to perform a more complete eye examination. They can also write prescriptions for eye- glasses and can fit contact lenses.

- Laser ResurfacingThe Erbium Laser has been introduced as the next step in laser resurfacing and offers the benefits of less pain during treatment and recovery along with significantly faster healing times than any other resurfacing laser. Dr. Lisa Bunin, M.D. and her team of experts, use the Erbium Laser to remove and decrease wrinkles and improve the overall color and skin texture of the face, neck, and hands. Although treatment results will vary depending on various considerations, with few exceptions, you can expect an improvement in the texture and quality of your skin!
- Cosmetic SurgeryYou may notice some redness and swelling after you get your procedure, but this should be minimal and will usually go away within a few hours. You can reduce the discomfort by applying Aloe Vera to the treated area. Because laser hair removal is not a cosmetic surgery procedure, you do not need to do anything special to prepare for this procedure, but you will need to avoid the sun for a few weeks before your procedure. Excessive sun exposure can tan your skin, and if you get a tan, then you will have a greater risk of developing unpleasant side effects. Additionally, you will need to avoid waxing, plucking or using electrolysis before you get laser hair removal.
- Skin CancerOne of the most important ways to take care of your skin is to protect it from the sun. A lifetime of sun exposure can cause wrinkles, age spots, and other skin problems – as well as increase the risk of skin cancer.

Treatment of vascular lesions with the Spectrum Laser can dramatically reduce or even completely diminish the red appearance.
- Chemical PeelsAesthetic specialists have been performing skin resurfacing for many years with the use of chemical peels and CO2 Lasers. This method was very painful and often resulted in less than satisfactory results. Although the CO2 laser provided very good results, it had the disadvantage of requiring anesthesia as well as a prolonged healing time of up to 6 months.
