Harry D. Jacobs High School operates a variety of departments, such as art, business, English, foreign languages, industrial technologies, mathematics, music, physical and health education, science, social studies, and special and driver s education. The school maintains various organizations, including the National Honor Society, chess and science clubs, drama team, student council and Model United Nations. It has an Athletic Booster Club, which organizes fundraising activities for various sporting events. The school has an enrollment of more than 2,200 students in grades 9 through 12. Harry D. Jacobs High School is a part of Community Unit School District 300 and is located in Algonquin, Ill.
