Sandburg Middle School is an educational institution that serves students in grades seven and eight. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as English, science, social studies, mathematics and language arts. The school offers a variety of extracurricular programs in theater arts, music, band, and health and physical education. In addition, the school offers foreign language sessions in Spanish and provides the English for Speakers of Other Language program. Sandburg Middle School also provides medical care, speech therapy, and guidance and counseling services. It also offers a range of special education and after-school programs. The school operates several student organizations, such as the National Junior Honor Society, a jazz band, as well as chess, drama, soccer and wrestling clubs. The school is located in Alexandria, Va.
