National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association, established in 1921, aims to protect and improve the retirement benefits of federal retirees, employees and their families. The agency has various departments, including membership, legislation, retirement and insurance benefits, magazine, member discounts and public relations. The various services offered to the members by the agency include legislative representation on federal and state levels, post-retirement support and assistance, and moving services. The agency also provides health, life, dental, auto and long-term care insurance programs to members. It publishes and distributes Retirement Life, a monthly magazine that offers information about federal retirement and health care issues.
