Alexandria Library is an educational, user-oriented service institution that provides public access to a wide collection of study materials. It houses a collection of general, regional, historical and recreational reading, listening and viewing materials. The library offers various articles, periodicals, newspapers, magazines, journals and guides. It also provides access to off-site collections, electronic reference resources and the Internet through the modern information technologies. The library publicizes services through children's programs, participation in community activities and its Web site. Its children s department offers a full range of books, cassettes, CDs, video cassettes, puzzles and magazines. The library offers a variety of fiction and nonfiction books, biographies and databases.
