Fort Hunt Elementary School, located in Alexandria, Va., is recognized as a fully accredited school by the Virginia Department of Education. It has educational and business partnerships with the Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic and the Kennedy Center. Fort Hunt Elementary School has an annual enrollment of more than 570 students in kindergarten through grade six. The school conducts special classes for students in English for Speakers of Other Languages, Foreign Language Partial-Immersion, school-age child care and Young Scholars programs. Fort Hunt Elementary School is a part of Fairfax County Public Schools, which is one of the largest school systems in the United States and operates over 200 schools with an enrollment of nearly 163,000 students.
