Benjamin Russell High School offers a wide range of academic and co-curricular programs to students. It is a public school that has an enrollment of more than 900 students in grades nine through 12. The school is located in Alexander City, Ala., and is operated by Alexander City Schools. It provides various subjects, such as arts, mathematics, physics, chemistry, government, American history, and health and physical education. It also organizes athletic activities that include soccer, baseball, basketball, volleyball, football, tennis, cheerleading, and track and field. The school offers special classes in writing and reading assessments, band, dance, musical concerts and graduation preparation. It additionally has a variety of clubs, such as student council, Diamond Girls, the Future Business Leaders of America and Family, Career and Community Leaders of America.
