Established in 1994, The Boyd School, A Montessori Children's House, is an educational institution that provides a variety of academic services to students up to 15 years. It offers classes in reading, writing, math, science, English, social studies, health, physical education, music, history, geography, computer technology, language arts and Spanish. The school provides before- and after-school care programs to assist students with homework and supervised activities. It additionally offers breakfast and lunch programs. The school is accredited by the American Montessori Society and Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement. It is owned and operated by The Boyd School Corporation and is licensed by the Virginia Department of Social Services. The school maintains presence in more than five locations throughout Virginia. The Boyd School maintains one of its campuses in Chantilly, Va.
