Located in Albuquerque, N.M., the South Area Command Center is a part of the field services division of the Bernalillo County Sheriff's Department. The department works with individuals, groups and businesses to fight crime and improve life for the people of Bernalillo County. It has various other divisions, including court services, criminal investigations and support services. The sheriff s office provides services through units that include air support, K-9 unit, traffic unit, mobile command unit and mounted search and rescue. Its responsibilities include protecting lives and property, investigating crimes and prosecution of law offenders.
