We planned a "Family Reunion" at Shady Lakes on Labor Day... We had very nice time(Family-wise, that is) but there is room for improvement on the part of Shady Lakes. First of all, there is NO Handicap Parking! I couldn't believe this! Being handicap myself I found this very unusual for a place of business. Also, I think they charge too much just for coming in to visit with family. $6.95 a person seems a little high, especially in this economic times.One thing that was very dissapointing were the toilets. There was only ONE toilet available, the other ones were full, and smelled horrible. (Outdoor comode) There was NO sanitizer or water to clean up. We were told that they couldn't clean the toilet til Tuesday! Incidently, the woman at the little shack got a little annoyed when we complained about the toilets.Poor excuse for a very busy day full of people and children! Enough said, most of the people in our party swore that would be the last visit to Shady Lakes, my sentiments, exactly.
