Established in 1989, Safe Ride Services, a division of First Transit, provides door-to-door, nonemergency medical and transportation services to Medicaid, hospitals, medical centers, schools, and healthcare and insurance companies. It provides ambulatory, wheelchair and stretcher transportation services. Safe Ride Services also operates a service center that provides vehicle reservation, confirmation, dispatch and cancellation services.
