My wife and I have taken our vehicles to Jay Walton for over 27 yrs. The work is done right the first time and the charges are reasonable. We purchased new vehicles and they inspected them prior to our purchase. The recommendations that were needed and resolved before purchase. We highly recommend Randy and Staff for your auto repairs.
Jay Walton Automotive stands by their work. I had a transmission line replaced by Jay Walton in Albuquerque, NM on my Silverado truck. When I returned to my home in Angel Fire, NM, a distance of 180 one way miles, I had a leak in the lines when I parked in my driveway. Jay Walton offered to pay for the repair at a local shop. Since the local shop with certified mechanics was in Taos, a distance of 48 one-way miles from my home, Jay Walton agreed to pay for my mileage for the repairs in addition to the repair reimbursement. I believe you can rely on them for quality work notwithstanding this error. I did send them photos of the leak and before and after photos of the transmission line repair to validate the claim.
This place is fabulous nothing is free in life but you want good quality work and great customer service this is your place. You want cheap work done go to Jiffy Lube but I guarantee mechanics aren't ASE certified which is considered best in the game out there. No car repair is cheap but if you want the best Jay Walton is the place to go. I take my car there and usually they are done in a few hours Stellar Customer service. They buy you coffee and always have snacks while you wait truly is a great experience. They know how to take care of their customers!!!
Our friends from out of town had a loud ominous noise coming from the drive train of their Dodge Ram truck as they pulled into town. Jay Walton was able to squeeze them in on short notice and quickly identified the problem - bad U-joints to the front wheel axle. Since our friends are severely limited on funds, Jay Walton removed the u-joints (no 4-WD until they could get the short drive shaft replaced, but 2WD is fine) and just charged them a very fair labor fee.
Jay Walton repaired my Honda for one fourth of the estimate that Garcia Honda quoted me. Maybe it doesn't matter since Farmers Ins was paying for it, but it does matter to me because ultimately we the insured are the ones paying.
