I was at this wonderful tea shop recently, in August 2014. I've never seen tea arranged more efficiently for smelling, choosing, etc. So many awesome varieties. Deanna served me my tea at my table, and she was so kind and helpful. The place was clean, and welcoming. Nice big comfy easy chairs in one area. I think one of the best kept local secrets in supporting local, rather than at Starbucks. Some cool items to buy, and also they have great coffees too. I give it a 5 star for sure. Thank you!

I met a friend for afternoon tea and what a mistake! We were served in a rushed fashion, not at all the "tea experience" that the website promised. The person working was obviously in a hurry to leave, and although we arrived an hour before the shop closed, we were made to feel that we were bothering him! He started to turn off lights before we were finished with our pot of tea, and as we left he was practically right behind us out the door. I checked my watch and it was 4:58 as I got into my car. I felt like I had just been cheated out of the afternoon tea with my friend. It made me wonder if the proprietor wanted for this to be more of a cuppa to go kind of place, but the website sure had me misled. Don't go to Hadley's Tea if you are looking for a civilized tea experience.
I love coffee and tea and I'm always looking for a new place to buy it. I saw Hadleys when I was shopping at another store in the strip mall and had to check it out. I ordered coffee, and the pastries looked so good I ordered some of them too. The coffee was very weak and had a strange taste to it, like it had been made with sulphur water. Later that night when we had the pastries we found that not only were they stale but 2 had mold on them. This is not a cheap place to shop, but I wouldn't mind paying a little more if I was getting quality.
Our pastries are delivered every morning from Le Chantilly French bakery. Their is no way any pastry would either be stale or have mold on it.

Nice place. Clean. Friendly sales help. Wonderful teas. They give sample of the iced teas of the day.
Wide variety of products but prices are a little high and the staff seems disorganized. Chatting with staff revealed that all are new and owner is never around. If the owner took more interest in their business and provided some training and support this could be a very nice place.
