- Pediatric CareRebecca Leenheer, MD specializes in pediatric ophthalmology, eye muscle disorders in children and adults, as well as general adult ophthalmology. She graduated Suma Cum Laude from Colorado State University with a degree in Biological Sciences and Neurobiology. Her medical degree is from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California. She also completed her ophthalmology residency at Loma Linda University. Additionally, she completed a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at the University of Southern California and Cedars Sinai. Dr. Leenheer is very active in the American Association for Pediatrics Ophthalmology and Strabismus and serves on the Socioeconomic Committee and Young Ophthalmologist Committee. She is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is an Assistant Professor at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine.
