- Dental ExaminationMaintaining oral health includes good home care and regular visits to our office for preventive care, which includes oral examinations and cleanings. Regular preventative care can help with early detection and treatment of problematic conditions.
- X-raysOur offices uses Second Opinion, a real-time dental AI platform that automatically detects numerous conditions in dental x-rays to give dentists a second set of eyes for superior radiologic accuracy. This technology helps to ensure that we have considered many common conditions that appear in patients' radiographs.
- Oral Cancer ScreeningOral cancer affects thousands of Americans yearly. We use the latest technology to detect changes in oral tissue consistencies and/or lesions. A specialized light is shined into the mouth to detect unhealthy tissue. Healthy tissue looks lighter under the light while spots of bad tissue appear dark. With early detection, cancer may be caught before it has time to spread, potentially saving lives.
- Teeth CleaningA dental cleaning, also known as an oral prophylaxis, is the removal of dental plaque and tartar (calculus) from the teeth. Specialized instruments are used to gently remove these deposits without harming the teeth. First, an ultrasonic device that emits vibrations and is cooled by water is used to loosen larger pieces of tartar. Next, hand tools are used to manually remove smaller deposits and smooth the tooth surfaces. Once all the tooth surfaces have been cleaned of tartar and plaque, the teeth are polished.
- Fluoride TreatmentFluoride is a natural substance that helps strengthen teeth and prevent decay. Fluoride treatments are administered at this office as an important component of pediatric dental treatment. The fluoride is applied to the teeth in a gel, foam, or varnish form.
- Dental SealantsDental sealants are made of a safe resin material which is applied to the surfaces of teeth (commonly permanent molars) to prevent cavities. The sealant material fills in the crevices of a tooth and “seals” off the tooth from cavity-causing agents like food and plaque. The teeth are prepared for the sealant application and the sealant is painted directly onto the chewing surface of each tooth and then hardens. Sealants are applied in one visit.
- Fillings
- Resin CompositeMade using composite resin, these may be made in the dental office or in a dental lab and are less expensive than porcelain veneers. They can alter the appearance of tooth color, size, or shape and can be an effective solution for less extensive cosmetic improvements. They are fully customized as are the porcelain veneers, but the composite material is somewhat susceptible to staining and does not last as long as porcelain.
- VeneersVeneers cover the front of the tooth surface and slightly wrap around the sides and biting edge of the tooth. In most cases, each tooth receiving a veneer will be carefully prepped prior to the veneer fabrication and placement. This preparation involves removing a thin (usually less than one millimeter) layer of enamel from the natural tooth in the areas that will be covered by the veneer. This allows the veneer to fit seamlessly with the contours of the natural tooth. The veneers are attached using a thin but strong bonding material. The material hardens when cured by a specialized light.
- CrownsWith CEREC, crowns, bridges, and other restorations can be designed and fabricated in a single day using CAD/CAM technology. Dr. Dennis isn’t just a skilled provider of CEREC same-day restorations, he also teaches other dentists on how to incorporate this technology into their own practices. When you choose Dr. Dennis for a same-day restoration, you’ll benefit from his advanced knowledge of the CEREC system as well as his eye for aesthetics as a cosmetic dentist.
- BridgesWhen Dr. Dennis designs and fabricates bridges, his goal is to create a restoration that both feels and looks natural. Once your bridge is in place, your ability to eat, speak, and smile with confidence will be restored. Learn more about Dental Bridges
- Dental BondingWith cosmetic bonding, we can fill in and restore teeth with minor imperfections like stains, chips, cracks, and gaps. The bonding material is carefully matched to the rest of your tooth and then sculpted for a natural appearance. Learn more about Cosmetic Bonding
- Restorative DentistryEven with excellent care, however, teeth and gums can be susceptible to infection, cavities, cracks, or other damage. Restorative dentistry can help maintain oral and overall health even when the health of one or more teeth or the surrounding areas is compromised and also restore the function and integrity of the tooth structure, function, and health.
- Root Canal TreatmentThis device is used to obtain the proper length of the root canal, from which the doctor can determine the position of the file relative to the apex of the root. This can help ensure that the canal is completely free of debris, reducing potential future complications.
- Deep Cleaning
- DenturesEven if you have not lost all the teeth within an arch, you can still enjoy the benefits of dentures while filling in spaces from missing teeth in your mouth. Partial dentures are a great option for patients who have suffered from significant tooth loss.
- Dental ImplantsDental implants are the best solution for missing teeth because they are the only option that replaces the root. This creates a stable foundation for replacement teeth and prevents bone loss in the jaw. When it comes to implants, experience matters. Dr. Dennis is a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, has certification as a Master Clinician in Implant Dentistry, and attended a dental implant training program at the Global Institute for Dental Education and Loma Linda University. Our Albuquerque office uses the latest technology and surgical techniques to ensure successful outcomes for our patients.
- Oral Surgery
- Osseous SurgeryA pocket depth reduction is a surgical procedure used to smooth and reshape affected bone under the gum tissue. This procedure is performed when a pocket around a tooth (or teeth) has not responded to other treatments.
- Tooth ExtractionsWe utilize Longevity Resources' Ozone Generator® for ozone treatment for tooth desensitization, for treatment and prevention of cavities, as well as during treatment of periodontal diseases, infections, root canals, dental implants, and tooth extractions.
- Bone GraftingRidge preservation involves placing a regenerative bone grafting material into empty tooth sockets to rebuild bone where an extraction has left an empty, weakened area. This process encourages your body’s natural capacity to regenerate bone.
- Orthodontics
- Invisalign Orthodontics
- BracesIf you or your child participates in sports, it’s important to have a custom mouth guard to protect the teeth and jaw from injury. Mouth guards are especially important for patients with orthodontic braces. We take an impression of your teeth, then create a device fitted to your mouth for a more comfortable fit, easier breathing, and better protection. Preventing injury is much more budget-friendly than repairing the damage caused by facial trauma.
- Teeth WhiteningIn-Office Bleaching usually requires only one office visit. A protective gel or a rubber shield is placed over the gums to protect the soft tissue. A bleaching agent containing carbamide peroxide is applied to the teeth, and a specialized light is then used to enhance the action of the whitening agent. This is the fastest way to achieve results.
- Cosmetic DentistryOur dental practice specializes in cosmetic dentistry. While the health of your teeth is paramount, we also understand the importance of feeling good about your smile.
